That Darn Tooth Fairy

She didn't come again!! Shameful. At first we thought it was because she doesn't like basements. So K spent the night upstairs with his brothers. But, nope that wasn't it because she didn't come again. *#$&. What kind of parent am I? My excuses included:

1. She must not like the basement.
2. The fairy economy must be bad right now.
3. Levi even said that she hurt her foot and it took a long time to get here.

The truth is, she's so darn tired at night she forgets to do her job. She came by this afternoon. Not the typical routine of a tooth fairy but hey it worked. K was very happy tonight. He's already dreaming about his next set of yugioh cards.

Our tooth fairy didn't come last week because she doesn't work on Sundays... and then she didn't come because he put his tooth IN the pillowcase.... so she came during naptime.... that blasted tooth fairy, what SHALL we do with her?

lol I think most parents have done the same thing. My favorite was the fairy economy is bad right now.

You are definitely not the only one that has happened to! The tooth fairy at our house has had to write notes to the kids because she has forgotten! The thing I like to tell my kids is that they weren't in bed early enough and the tooth fairy already passed by our house! It gets them in bed early the next time!

i'm still bitter that koji didn't let me pull his tooth. i'm glad it took a while for the toothfairy to show up.

at least this time he actually had a tooth to exchange.

Ha, ha! That made me laugh SO much! Glad I'm not the only scatter-brained mom around here. Er, uh - the only mom that has issues with mythical creatures like that. ;o)

love you quick wit and responses :) My friend forgot the tooth fairy once and her hubby was out of town and she said to her sad child "I just didn't feel comfortable with the tooth fairy coming in the house while you dad was out of town" LOL I can't think that fast...you guys are great!!

Hah...so funny! My kids have just learned that the tooth fairy isn't that reliable, but she'll get there eventually!
